On Thursday Feb 12, 2015 Hardy View Lodge got a visit from Doreen Sorensen and Les Johnson of the Boundary Historical Society.
The occasion was a donation of set books by the society to the lodge. Not just any books, these are the Boundary Historical Society reports – the product of over 60 years of collecting, preserving and disseminating the history of the Boundary area written by the people who lived it.
On hand to receive them were Doris Machum, Roslyn Barrington,
Stacey Edgington, and Mary Cathcart
On Feb 21st the Boundary Historical Society will be having its luncheon at the Seniors Centre in City Park. The event will coincide with the launch of the 16th report. The president, Les Johnson, will be the host and he will talk about the new directions the society is branching into.
Hello, I would like to connect with Doreen Sorensen. My son is named after “Rattlesnake” Bill Puritch, his great-great uncle! In a recent online search, I found that Doreen had commented in the November local news that she lives on his old property. We would like to possibly come to visit this summer from Victoria.
thank you! Jeanne Puritch
