Body Found In Water At Beaver Falls

On July 12, 2014 Trail and Greater District RCMP were contacted after a group of hikers noted what they believed to be a human body in the water at Beaver Falls near Fruitvale, BC.

On July 13, 2014 the South Columbia Search and Rescue (SAR) Team with the assistance of a Helicopter Long Line Extraction Team recovered the body of an 88 year old West Kootenay man.

The Coroner’s Service of British Columbia, RCMP General Investigations Section, Police Dog Services, and Forensic Identification Services were present at the scene. The incident is not considered suspicious.
